Hi, I’m the creator of this community Forum. It’s taken me a long time to speak openly about my journey. The reality is, from the day I decided to leave work until now, I've experienced waves of helplessness while navigating the myriad of undertakings associated with injury, incidents and abuse in the workplace. The minefield of decisions that unfold from the moment something happens at work, you claim workers compensation, or you end up in court, will test your strength and have you question yourself repeatedly.
My journey started a few years ago and, in many forms, still carries on to this day. There have been so many bumps, twists and turns along the way. When you make the enormous decision to call your employer out for an injury or incident, there isn’t a lot of support or real-life information and experience out there to guide you. Sure enough you can dial a friend, listen to your loved ones, or talk to a lawyer, but when you are in the trenches fighting the battle you need someone who understands your journey more intimately.
The Worker’s Forum was created as a safe place for you to share your story anonymously and to hear from others. It’s never going to be easy, and sometimes you’ll ask yourself why you started down this path, however, we hope in this Forum you find the support you need.
